Meet our Alumni – previous interns who have spread their wings in the publishing industry.
Charlotte Harris

Charlotte Harris joined Inkspot in November 2023. A graduate of Cardiff University where she read English Literature, she was also a columnist of Quench Magazine, writing articles on lifestyle and literature. Initially, she juggled her job as a teaching assistant with the publishing demands of Inkspot, but within a few months we asked her to devote her efforts to Inkspot full time, promoting her in the process. She wrote articles and blog posts on our behalf, many of which were published by World Privilege Plus’s Elevate magazine, as well as on our own website. Like Thea, Charlotte got involved in all aspects of the business, and showed a talent for creating book trailers. She is now working for Polity, an Oxford-based academic Publisher, as Global Marketing Assistant. She continues to freelance for us on special projects.
Thea Toocheck

Thea Toocheck is a graduate of Queens University, Belfast, and spent the summer of 2023 at Oxford University completing the Columbia Publishing course. We hired her for a 6 month internship, but she ended up staying for around 10 months. While with us, she got involved in all aspects of publishing: social media management, proofreading, copy-editing, website management, digital sales, PR, research, writing blog posts, blurbs, and reviews, and administrative responsibilities. Within two months of joining, we had promoted her to publishing assistant. Now, Thea is working as Business Affairs Assistant for WME, William Morris Endeavor’s book department in New York City.
