The Funeral – Coming Soon

Veronica Moore, an old-style screen goddess, has died and it is left to her two warring granddaughters, Tessa and Rosie, to organise the Funeral.

Granny has left strict instructions for the big day and, naturally, plans to be the star of the show. But her bickering family members are all nursing age-old resentments which threaten to ruin her last hurrah.

About the Author

Sarah Hutchinson-Jarman is a writer, artist and jeweller. Originally from Britain, she grew up in the Middle East and returned to England to study creative writing and English studies.

After university, Sarah worked at a jeweller’s in Bath. When her first child was born she decided to go freelance. Her life as a mother inspired her to write a successful parenting blog. Following the blog’s success, Sarah returned to her dream of becoming an author. She began as a ghost writer and story liner, working on books such as ‘Ashes of Childhood’ – Lela Burbridge’s memoirs of life as an AIDS orphan. In 2023 Sarah had her first picture book ‘Frog Finds Home’ published, which Sarah also illustrated. Her second picture book, ‘Chameleon’s Colour Quest’ will launch this autumn.

The Funeral will be Sarah’s first novel.

Sarah lives in the Cotswolds with her husband and two children. When not writing, she is an avid crafter and enjoys passing on her crafting knowledge to others in her fun ‘kitchen table craft’ classes. She has also recently painted two life-sized ox sculptures for Oxford’s ‘Oxtrail’. The oxen can be seen in central Oxford until September.
